American Center for Justice (ACJ) denounces the display of the photos of more than 100 Women for Auction in India

Photographs of more than 100 Muslim women, including multiple journalists, activists, and politicians were displayed on the app for auction known as “Bulli Bai” in India, January 1, 2022.

While no sale took place, the online application – found on GitHub – was to humiliate Muslim women according to the chairperson of American Center for Justice (ACJ)  Latifa Jamel.

Later on Saturday, the app was taken down after dozens of Muslim women began voicing their shock and outrage on social media after seeing their photographs on the app.

We in ACJ denounce and condemn all methods of hatred and humiliation against the Muslim community in an attempt to silence their voices.
