28 Civilians Killed and Wounded, including women and children in Marib: ACJ condemns targeting civilians by the Houthis and calls on the international community to protect them

The American Center for Justice (ACJ) condemns in the strongest terms the Houthi group’s continued targeting of civilians and residential neighborhoods in the city of Marib using ballistic missiles in a systematic manner, which led to civilian casualties, including children and women.

Yesterday, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, a ballistic missile fell on the densely populated downtown neighborhood, which killed 5 people, including a woman and wounded 23 others, including 5 children and a woman, in a scene that is repeated continuously.

The Center expresses its deep concern over the continued systematic violence committed against civilians in Yemen, the widening of the conflict, the complete loss of ethics and laws of war, and the unjustified international silence.

(ACJ) calls on the Houthi group to stop targeting protected civilian objects in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law and calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities to protect civilians in accordance with international charters and treaties.
